The database structure and accessability should be supported
for PalmOS 2.0+, must run on Symbo SPT1500, 1700, and 1800's,
and Sync'd with SCO Unix.

I'd say I'm about five minutes off of your suggested target. I'm sure
if I redesigned a few things I can bring it down a bit more now that I
have a better idea of things which is where I am now.

Thanks for your response Roger.

With the right design you should be achieving the following sync times for
a 6.5 MB
file:
Direct Serial connection (ex: Symbol 1800) : 12 to 14 minutes
USB connection (ex: Tungsten T): 18 to 25 seconds

This is based on actual timings and will vary somewhat with your
configuration.

It is important to define what your target platform, and the method of
connection, in order to figure out what needs to be optimized.
