I'm basically looking to see if anyone has used the CComponent object to intercept events for a standard UI control, like a field. I am getting some template errors (compile-time) attempting to register the control with a CForm instance. I am subclassing both CField and CComponent, then overriding the standard event handler, to try and get a field into which you can only enter integers, for example. I haven't dug through the internals of the POL to try and figure it out, it seems I must be using something incorrectly if I'm having compile-time problems like this.
