You can't -- atleast with documented approaches on 3.5.x and 4.x. We've looked into this also awhile back. We no longer try. All I can say is, Palm OS 6 better address all these weaknesses. It sucks and is expensive to write a different design for applications on Palm. WinCE/NT/XP/Linux -- easy, same code base. Palm -- pain, different design, higher maintainence costs.
