Change the source code of the other application to recognize a custom
launch code to immediately shutdown. Then send it that special launch
code from your other program when you want to have an immediate close down.

Is SysReset() the only way? I want to wakeup during subcalls, shutdown that
application, and proceed to do some work before going away.
