Hi Mike, Nothing you do is wrong. It's just the T3. It seems that there is a bug forcing hardware handshake whatever flags one sets. I thought it could be a hardware problem like with raw IrDA on OMAP processors, but the processor in T3 generally allows communication without hardware handshake, in spite of the fact that the hardware handshake is built-in.
For the moment, one just has to connect RTS to CTS on the plug - like with a PC, when one wants to communicate on three wires and some third-party software uses hardware handshake.
