FWIW, CodeWarrior 9 crashes on me at least once a day. Sometimes when moving object files around or changing target settings. Most often it crashes if something goes wrong debugging in the emulator or (especially) the simulator. Then they both go down.
I never thought to complain about it because I've never lost any work because of it. It's always been kind enough to crash AFTER I've saved my files, so it's not a huge deal.
Most of the V9 crashes seem to be related to the newer IDE 5.0 we used in this product, especially the code completion engine. If code completion isn't essential for you, I'd suggest renaming the bin\Plugins\COM\CPPCodeCompletion.dll file to CPPCodeCompletion.dllXXX to disable it from being used by the IDE. We've seen a variety of problems, usually due to thread contention between the parser and the rest of the IDE.
I can't provide details on any plans to update to IDE 5.5 which is shipping with newer CW products. Sorry.
