Unfortunately expensive compilers have the same requirement about
equally often. Ditto non-free compilers.
Rguevara should go back to the original makefile and my first response,
which did contain a fairly explicit clue to the one word that needs to
be added to the original makefile to make it work. (My second response
even shows which line that one word needs to be added to.)
