This is the best way to handle it. And while you are at it, add a __VERSION__ that PilRC will copy the 'tver' 1/1000 value over. THAT WOULD BE GREAT! Completely automatic; not more manual updates NOR makefile scripts! I'm eagerly awaiting 3.0 beta 5!!! :>

Having PilRC remember settings from resources it has already processed is tough. Using what's already built in is easy.
__DATE__ and __TIME__ are different, as they require input from the build environment, so that can be gathered easily at the start of any resource compile.
