I was surprised by what I saw, and jumped to the conclusion it was a corrupted
file.

OK then.  What I was doing was looking at a explorer-like view of the tar
contents, and manually trying to extract each of the files listed to the proper
folders.  All the rest seemed obvious enough, but these caught me off guard.

So should these programs be copies of the m68k-palmos-??.exe files from usr/bin,
but renamed to the just ??.exe in usr\m68k-palmos\bin folder?

What was not working for me was the command line level extraction, so I was
using an explorer view and drag-and-drop.
