I released my first product about 10 days ago. I've created a Yahoo! group for users to discuss it, report bugs, mention features they'd like to see, etc.
I'm unable to reproduce some of the errors. Is there any way to get more information from the user when an error occurs? Is there some kind of error stack trace? Or is having them send the .pdb or preferences file, if they're willing, the best way?
Did you run your program through a million gremlin events under POSE and the Simulator for each of the major versions of Palm OS that you claim to support?
(using debug ROM's of course)
Almost all 'fatal event' program errors can be discovered in this way.
If your users are experiencing 'fatal event' errors, you should immediately suppress downloads of your software until you have cleaned-up your code!
