Matthew, are you sure about this: "if you start the Palm using any of the other hardware buttons, it doesn't send either sysNotifyLateWakeupEvent or sysNotifyEarlyWakeupEvent". I use those notifications to resond to ANY hardware button press that wake up the device, and I have confirmed this on T3, PalmV/Vx, and m500. Bob.
Ah, you know what, I was too clever for my own good. I figured I'd write a little test app to see how sysNotifyLateWakeupEvent works. My test app popped up a little alert when it got the notification. Looks like if you turn on the Palm, the alert pops up. If you start the Palm using a hardware key, the alert code runs but the alert doesn't pop up. All I care about is getting the notification, so that'll work.
