And In Zire71 can I do an upgrade?

Or a better ask is ... Which palms can I upgrade the Operational System?

You need a device with flash memory and a Palm OS licensee that is willing to release an OS update. Since each Palm OS release is customized by the licensee with a build of software and a layer that interfaces to the actual hardware of the device, you can't just get a copy of "Palm OS X" and put it on the device -- you have to get an update from the licensee, and so far, it isn't common practice for any of them to release OS updates for devices beyond patches and bug fixes.

A good reference to see what devices have flash is http://www.brayder.com/products/jackflash.html -- they list devices with and without Flash memory as part of their support list.
