Has anyone out there done this? What are the charges like from ISP's? I'm thinking about distributing an app across the country that uses dial-up internet access, but we would have to pay for the internet access.

You don't even have to write an application to play with it, just go into the connection and network control panels and configure it to use your dial-up card. Of course, if you want to write a program and set the settings programmatically, you'll need to look at the NetLib family of functions. To set the phone number, etc. you'll want to specifically look at NetLibIFSettingSet(). -Jon -------------------------------------------- Jonathan Hays Palm OS Certified Developer GE Infrastructure http://hazelware.luggle.com -------------------------------------------- -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of M Wasson Sent: Monday, April 05, 2004 2:04 PM To: Palm Developer Forum Subject: Dial-up internet access Can someone tell me about using a modem with a standard phone line with a Palm device to obtain internet access? If I have a Palm device with a modem card, and a dial-up internet account, can I write an app that will use the dial-up internet connection to send/receive data? -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/ -- For information on using the Palm Developer Forums, or to unsubscribe, please see http://www.palmos.com/dev/support/forums/
