While working on a project, I've noticed that for the builtin applications there seem to be two databases that are kept up to date.
For example, there is AddressDB and ContactsDB-PAdd for the Contacts application. There is DatebookDB and CalendarDB-PDat for the Calendar. As my project needs to interact with these databases, I'm curious to know the technical relationship between each pair, and whether that applies to all databases or just the builtins. (I know there's some new database stuff going on for Cobalt, but at this time I'm interested in OS 5 and earlier.) I haven't found any info on these database pairs; can anyone give me a brief description of the technical relationships or a pointer/link to where this is described?
