I have a similar product (uses a static array vs. application resource, but
I'll be adding resource support now that you've mentioned it) in the works
which will be released under it's own dual-license.  Free for non-commercial
use, licence required otherwise.  The DIA support, however, is only a minor
part of the whole GLib.  Mine also has support for OS4/OS5 Sony and Palm.
As it was originally designed for the first OS5 Sony handheld, I had an odd
double-refresh problem with the Palm DIA which I have subsequantly fixed. 

The DIA seems to be a real issue if how often it is discussed here is any
indicator!
