Those samples are being gradually converted to prc-tools (with PalmRC) for use with the Palm OS Developer Suite. If you don't mind using PalmRC and the XRD instead of PilRC, the GenerateXRD tool that comes with PODS 0.1.1 can convert .rsrc files.
Wow -- there are a lot of words I don't know in that statement. What's PalmRC? PODS? XRD? I suspect these aren't in my PRC-Tools for OS X toolchain.
For the moment, true.
PODS == Palm OS Developer Suite, the Eclipse-based Palm OS development environment that PalmSource is producing
XRD = XML based Palm OS resource format, used by new Palm OS Resource Editor and PalmRC resource compiler
PalmRC = compiles XRD to binary resource form for linking with your app
Right now, these tools are Win32 only. It's likely that some of these tools will be available on Mac OS X in the future, but I don't know when.
