I guess this is more a Microsoft question than Palm question but I'm hoping someone here will know the answer.

I am trying to understand which Microsoft product I need to be able to run with CDK 4.03. The Palm web site says I need Microsoft Visual C++ .NET. I know there is an older SDK for Visual C++ 6.0 which I used to get through the conduit examples in the book (on a friend's computer with an academic version of VC++ 6.0)

My client is part of the Microsoft Developer Network and has sent me an April 2004 msdn DVD containing a bunch of programs but it doesn't explicitly contain "Microsoft Visual C++ .NET." It has Visual C++ 1.52 and Visual Studio .NET 2003 Enterprise Architect and even Visual Studio 6.0 Enterprise Edition with service pack 5 and a bunch of eMbedded stuff.

My Windows programming experience is limited to Borland's C++ Builder and I just don't understand Microsoft's products. Is any of this junk considered Visual C++ .NET?

Thanks,

Dana
