Unfortunately I don't understand COM and don't have the time (or room in my brain) to learn another technology right now so I'm forced to use the approach that has the most sample code. The three books I have all use Visual C++. The conduit I'm developing has the added complication of syncing to a web service so I'm hoping there is a lot of XML support built into the .NET stuff.

When this project ends, I'll figure out how to use COM since I own the Borland compiler and have to give back the Microsoft one.
