I'm thinking one of the apps is responding to a notification, and screwing up the OS... Remove the Apps one by one and reset to see which one is the trouble maker.

Right, it looks like this is happening before the reset even starts. And I make it a habit to check any hardware buttons before hitting the reset so it couldn't of been that.
