use a regular form. if you're using CodeWarrior, make it w/ PilRC Designer or Constructor.
Also, what would be the best way to play mp3's within my app? Are there third-party app's that I could incorporate play, pause, stop, rewind, fastforward buttons into my apps form?
look into PocketTunes.
