Hello! Ben Combee from PalmSource DTS here.
I just wanted to drop a note here telling you about a couple of classes that will be taught at in Sunnyvale, California in mid-August.
We've got a three-day course called "Palm OS Programming Essentials" that covers 68K development, stressing the Palm OS user interface, memory management, and databases. This is great for people just starting in Palm OS development or for people who've self-trained and would like a chance to work with a great instructor on mastering those skills.
This is followed by a separate one-day course called "Going Wireless with your Palm OS Application". This is a follow on to the previous course and emphasizes network communications and the telephony API.
These classes are not free -- there's a nominal fee to cover materials, instructor time, and the classroom -- but I think they are a great bargain compared to the you spending a lot of your time trying to get up to speed on your own.
For details on these classes, please visit http://www.palmos.com/dev/training/. We are also excited that we will have some new courses on Palm OS Protein development later this year.
