Hello all!
I couldn't find a general Palm OS section, so I'm posting here.
What is the maximum number of memos that can be created on OS 5.2.1 (say Tungsten T3)?
What about OS 4.1?

The total number of memos is limited by the maximum number of records that can be stored in a Palm OS database, at least for the classic Memo Pad application. Each memo is just a DB record.

Also, is there a file system overhead like the one on Windows, if a memo is 100 characters, will it only take 100 chars (+ headers, etc), or is there a 'cluster size' like in FAT and NTFS systems on Windows, and each memo will take one cluster?

Internal databases on Palm OS have a small per-record overhead, plus a small per-memory-chunk overhead for the heap manager. This varies among OS versions, but should be very small. There is no memory paging scheme.

This should all be explained in the Palm OS Companion book in the Palm OS 68K API documentation.
