Hi,
I have ported a small implementation of the GSM codec which i found. It
works fine on the lan, but im sure it wont work well on the internet.

Converting the floating point routine to the fixed point implementation
seems to be the logical thing to do. None of the handheld devices have a FPU
so floating point operations are gonna slow down the execution.

How does the codec fare now after the conversion to fixed point
implementation?? Im searching for ways to do the same at the moment.

Rakesh.
