Has anyone noticed that when the Tungsten T3 battery is being drained down to about 25% to 33% capacity, everything slows down? This occurs after 1.5 to 1.75 hours of continuous serial port reading and drawing on the display. The PDA's serial port starts falling behind so data is lost, and my drawing on the display slows down. I wonder if this is Palm's way of conserving power. To add insult to injury, the vchrLowBattery bit is only set at about 20% remaining battery capacity, so I don't get the warning until well after I've started losing data.
Is there a way to stop it from slowing down? I'd rather drain the battery to the end and let it die abruptly because once my application starts losing data, everything it collects and updates the screen with is rendered useless anyway.
Thanks, Lorraine
