This don't seem good for Palm users (and even worst for developers). You mean that if I capture a photo from a Zire71 camera, I can't use any 'image viewer' to see it?At 07:28 AM 10/26/2004, you wrote:
Hi All,
In my application i receive a file thru sockets and pass it to exchange manager to display it. I transfered a Jpeg file to Exchange managerand it shows that image well.
Now i need to retransfer that Jpeg file back to same socket.
So i need to know a way to determine the database which stores the Jpeg
file. Are each Jpeg file stored in seperate database or in same database in
different records ?
It depends on what application accepted the JPEG file. Different programs store JPEG files in different forms on the device. The Treo 600 Photos application works differently from the PalmOne Photos app that's on the Zire 72, which works differently from AcidImage or SplashPhoto.
We all know how JPG files are stored in our PC, so any program we like is able to open it, doesn't matter who wrote the image. Couldn't Palmsource create a common API to handle jpg files? This way all applications would be able to share images.
