Instead of making life harder for only a small group of developers inside
PalmSource itself, you've just prevented everyone who develops on non-Windows
operating systems from even being able to test their applications without a
physical unit.
I'm sure the marketing guys in PalmOne and Sony must love this, as it pretty
much forces people to buy the hardware, since they no longer have any other
choice. Or maybe it's the guys at Microsoft who see the end benefit, but it
sure as hell isn't the application developers.
If you don't think it was a mistake, then it's certainly just malice on the
part of PalmSource.
