can we use metrowerks or some IDE to debug on the Treo 600 or 650 simulators
Yes, the CodeWarrior IDE can debug to the Treo 600, both device (over serial) and simulator. If the simulator is running when you start a debug session, CW will connect to it (as long as you have an emulator or simulator selected as your debug target). You can also modify the PalmEmulators.xml file in CW to add the Treo 600/650 simulators to the list of ones that CW can start for you.
