Hi.
I would like to find some way to ACCURATELY synchronize the TOD (i.e. the time-and-date) clocks between two palm PDAs using the IR port. (I.e. so that they turn over seconds as close together as possible.)
Has anyone ever done this?
I know that the opensource web site:
http://www.palmopensource.com/
has the TimeShare utility, but it just sends the current time from one palm to the other, and the receiving palm sets its clock to that time WELL AFTER that time occurred on the sending palm.
What I would really like to do is implement something like the NTP (or SNTP) protocol using the exchange manager or something.
Any good suggestions or web sites with example code would be appreciated.
I guess you answered your own question... did you take a look into the ntp source code? I have no idea on how it works, but it's possible that a similar solution can be implemented for PalmOS.
