It does not ignore the question -- it answers the question (IMHO).

Only if people used backup software and regularly ran backups.  The NVFS
implementation "backs up" to non-volatile storage with every database close,
call to DmSyncDatabase, etc.  Some of my software includes automatic backups (of
my app databases) to SD cards when present in part because people are not good
about taking responsibility for backup themselves.

I think the theory of NVFS-like feature was great and is a welcome improvement
in my book.  I think the only problem is there wasn't a beta period where us
developers could help test compatibility issues prior to publicly shipping
devices.

It would be nice if they issued a ROM update for the T5 to address some of the
issues though.
