Alternatively, make your 2nd application of some type other than 'appl'. Since the creatorID is the same as your first application, the two will still look like one thing when the user tries to delete them. And you can launch anything that contains code with SysUIAppSwitch, no matter what its type. However, the Launcher won't see the second application and the user won't be able to run it independently.
