My US Sony Clie NX70V/U has a hold button which (as far as I can tell)
physically disconnects the hard-buttons and removes power from the
display. Applications continue to run in the background.
And apart from that phisical disconnection it generates a keyDownEvent.
Unfortunately on LifeDrive it doesn't :-(
Is there any way to detect the device was put on "hold" or released
from it?
Not as far as I know, but there's bound to be a memory-mapped register
somewhere with the information. Try a memory dump of registers and
high- and low-memory areas before and after the hold is placed. (A
10-second delay before the dump will accomplish this.)
Can you direct me to further reading on dumping these 3 areas
(registers+low+high memory)?
Thanks!
