can't help you in this exactly question, but what you mean with new? no
other devices has this feature?
AFAIK LifeDrive is the only palmOne device has this feature. I know Sony has
had it in most (if not all) their palms, but unfortunately the API's (if
there's any in LifeDrive) differ. On Sony, the hold button generates a
keyDownEvent. On LifeDrive virtually nothing happens.
