With NVFS, you are going through a whole layer of caching, so you may not ever be able to optimize it. Plus once you fill up your cache, you are going to have serious slowdowns among other issues. If you are really doing streaming, and don't really need the Dm functions for much, you may look into writing directly to the storage card with the virtual file system manager.
