In order to reassure my users about the safety of their tediously
acquired cave survey data, who worry about a crash or power failure or
breaking the device, I would like to offer a menu item to save the
current database to a memory card.
Is there such a thing as a file save dialog for VFS, or must I build
everything from scratch to let the user select the file name and
navigate/create the directory?
It's very common to have a special folder for the data of your app. So I
guess the best thing and what will just fit into the whole Palm OS world
is a list with all relevant file names inside your app folder on the
card and a text entry to add a new name. The folders are usually
/PALM/Programs/Programname.
