multilink was written way back in 1998/1999.
it was written as a solution to providing multiple code segments
with the old prc-tools 0.5.0 compiler set. prc-tools 2.0 introduced
a mechanism that would allow developers to manually specify
where code should go (which segment)
david wrote multilink as he hit the 64k barrier - i believe the app
he was working at the time was avantgo.
its designed to be used for prc-tools, more specifically the gcc
compiler tool chain ONLY for 68k code. you'll probably have a lot
of difficulty getting it to work with codewarrior or other dev kits.
One of the strengths of CodeWarrior is the built-in segmentation
support and if you have a large application, you really are better
off using CodeWarrior v9.3, providing you can get hold of a copy.
