1. I would like to create some kind of basic app., within the next couple of months to get some experience. In the process, I would like to determine which development environment works best for me. But of course, I do need to begin with something. So...whatever you can recommend.
2. Preference: C++. It is the only language I'm proficient in. I just graduated from a 16 mo. Visual C++ course. (A average.)
3. C/C++
4. Thank you for asking this question. Not as such. I would however like to be in a position to where I am able to develop a diverse range of decent
applications within a year.
5. I'm a college student (History Major, plan to go to Law school after I have my 4 Yr. Deg.). Right now, I'm unemployed and virtually broke; however I havent done my taxes for the past three years, so when I do (today, or tomorrow) I should get a pretty sizable return, and be able to spend a couple hundred dollars. Hopefully, I can get a student discount on any needed software, although I do eventually want to develop commercially. But, I'll cross that bridge when I come to
it...

Before anyone can legitimately answer the question, we need more info.
Otherwise we just show our prejudices.
1. What are you going to try to do?
2. Do you have a programming language preference?
3. What is your experience with the languages most commonly used in PalmOS
development (C/C++, Basic, Java)?
4. Do you have a timeframe or deadline you need to meet?
5. How much are you willing to spend?
6. Do you need (or want) cross platform compatability?
And even with specific answers to the above you will get different
opinions, but the above should help us see what you are looking for.
