There is no single unique identifying number on all palms.
You can get the Hotsync User ID on all palms (But no guaranties that it
is unique).
You can get the ROM Serial number on many devices, but not all palms
have this (I think you need a flashable ROM) I believe you will get an
empty string if it is not supported.
On devices like the TREO you can get the phone number & IMEI numbers.
