As far as I see now the future of Palm is depending on Access's mood, if they
are willing to negociate with Palm then everything will be fine, if they are
not then it will harm the whole business. Also Access's strategy is not purely
Palm oriented although they logically have to make profits from the acquisition
of PalmSource and shouldn't drop it. Perhaps some of you know if Access have
any other potential partners that could license ALP? What about Samsung or
Motorola? Seems like recent Windows Mobile Treos is a sort of "try" from Palm
to see how is Windows Mobile market doing and perhaps some way of collect data
for future changements in case if negociations with PalmSource fail. Maybe
PalmSource wants to be in a dominant position to negociate better contracts?
But if they push too far they can ruin a
lot of work. Where will it all go?
