Hello, ah - the blessings of the GMX online interface...anyways, I managed to read the full answers. Let me put a few things clear:
a) I am probably the biggest Palm OS freak right down to the bone. I had a PocketPC at a friend of mine, and she dropped it off at her ex and never picked it up again once she saw what a TE2 could do(true story). I ran Palm OS from the day of the Palm IIIc and ruined my eyesight on the m505... b) I am not hierophanting the death of the os. However, as it looks now, the future of the platform is in doubts... . Who knows if Palm will even licence ALP? If they go all WinMob, then good-bye Garnet revenues(as if any average user would run StyleTap) I myself still actively develop for the Palm and still plan at least three major releases in September, followed with the unfamous x.1 releases in October(=)). In fact, I just stocked up my device park with two new handhelds for testing. TamsPalm is also all-PalmOS still, altough I had the opportunity to "defect" to other platforms multiple times now. We(as in existing coders) still have about a year or so of time(should device sales end tomorrow); but you must keep in mind that starting to code for the Palm OS takes a very long time.
