Since I am having no luck getting the virtualbox-bin ebuild fixed, I decided to give it a go myself. Besides not having any idea what I am really doing with ebuilds I am having issues with appareo.
Steps: -I copied said ebuild from the jo*** repo(names changed to protect the innocent) to a repo I have call 'local' (local ebuilds). -I made changed to ebuildmostly incorrect hcnages LOL ), renamed it and figured I would use appareo. -Tried this: cosmo2 virtualbox-bin # appareo --manifest virtualbox-bin-2.1.4.ebuild Unhandled exception: * In program appareo --manifest virtualbox-bin-2.1.4.ebuild: * When loading profiles.desc: * E Repository configuration error: No profiles.desc found (maybe this repository is not synced, or maybe you need to specify its master (paludis::ERepositoryConfigurationError) That repo has been sync'ed but never has had a profiles.desc but DOES have a local.conf in /etc/paludis/repo.... -- -- Marc R.
