Actually I bit the bullet and putty'd in to my shell account.
Here is what happens, I'm following Charles' directions on the
rebelbase web page.
$ export CVSROOT=":pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/gnome"
$ cvs login
Logging in to :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:2401/cvs/gnome
CVS password:
$
It just drops back to the unix prompt and doesn't do anything.
What am I doing wrong ?
But when you login and after the CVS password: prompt you just hit
enter, you should
go back to the shell prompt and then you do cvs -z3 checkout pan.
What I did was this:
env CVSROOT=":pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/cvs/gnome" cvs -z3
checkout pan
I didn't even use cvs login
Grabbed the source and put it in ./pan
Sincerely,
William
