I can. Compared to PhotoShop, The GIMP is vastly inferior and even more
poorly laid out and with a worse interface (hard as that is to believe).
Adobe produces FAR better output but then it is a professional tool and
(over)priced accordingly.
I have to admit The GIMP beats the junk that comes bundled with Windows
and all of the "consumer" graphics programs. Once you get past the
dreadful interface it will work for most tasks (there is an add on
interface which emulates PhotoShop which helps a lot). One thing is for
certain, you can't beat the price (free)
