I'm going to figure out some way to make the rear top deck removeable and not 
glue the engine in place so it can be lifted out.

Or something like that.

I like the servicing idea but lack the space for a diorama that size to do it 
justice.

    How about a diorama of the tank being built or serviced? That would 
provide a reason for the engine to me out as well as other areas open 
for observation.
