Amen. Having been unemployed now for the last 14 months, I got into paper models, starting back in May, because I couldn't afford to buy new plastic kits and I was itching for something new to work at. Since then, I've downloaded literally hundreds of models offered free. I now have more paper "kits" than I do plastic. Happily, most of them are subjects that will never be offered in plastic, so I'm not even duplicating my collection.
Since I've been downloading models, I've seen a few for sale that I'd like to build, but since they're not in my budget, I content myself with the multitude of freebies I already have. I still sleep well at night, because I have plenty to work on, and I know that I haven't stolen something from another member of the hobby we enjoy. Interestingly, the site appears to be gone now. I wonder if someone really shut them down, or if they just moved to a different address. There's such a range of legit free models out there, that someone of limited means could keep pretty busy for a long time. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Papermodels II" group.
