Sure.  The docking ring, as designed, is the inner surface, the outer surface, 
and thin rings for the inner and outer edges.  The parts lacked any kind of 
tabs for assembling them, and the instructions simply showed the edges butted 
together.  What I did was cut several strips of card stock the same width as 
the docking ring parts, and built up the docking ring as a solid piece.  I 
started with the inner surface, then built it up outward, until the outer 
surface could be wrapped around it, then added the front and back rings.  It 
came out pretty good, and isn't as fragile as i would have been.
