I've moved on to the "landing gear". 
    
The wheels/tires look huge when finished but seem to be in proportion 
    to the rest of the model.

    



    
Used rings and layers of board glued together and sanded to shape. This 
    works well.

    
I am happy with the wheels/tires but the supports themselves seem very 
    thick and heavy.

    
I have already pulled the assembly apart and will have another go at 
    the supports.
