Mike,
I understand why people use it and?Pepakura Designer, but convert the bloody things to a worthwhile format. It's lazy. As to the instructions, again, make worthwhile ones. Let's face it, it seems a lot of "designs"? are never built before being released. If this was done, it would head of the problems that seem to pop up. Can't save Quark 6 to Quark 4 (their little way of making you upgrade). Actually, for personal work I've switched to inDesign. -----Original Message----- From: Mike Hungerford <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Fri, 10 Apr 2009 10:18 am Subject: [Papermodels II 35627] Re: Cap released On Fri, Apr 10, 2009 at 4:13 AM, <[email protected]> wrote: > Bones, > 1) I'm not on Windows, and God help, I never will be. > 2) I've used Pepkura on a PC. It allows the designer to forgo all but special instructions, and isn't tied to any single language. It's a popular format also for Pepakura Designer's ability to unfold a number of 3D mesh formats, which allows people to extract meshes and textures from games and turn them into crude paper models (I think this is what you meant by the "very low resoultion" models you see). The model parts themselves are all vector shapes, but the textures are often low-resolution bitmaps that only really look good from across a room. :-/ When you release your new models, please downconvert to Quark 4; it's the only version I have. <G> -- Mike Hungerford http://users.sdccu.net/chthulhu2/models.html Fools!
