I know. But why should we both do the work of figuring out all the details. <VBG>

Do you think you'll get Ron's permission to post when complete? Would love to take that to a Saladin class destroyer. JoeG -----Original Message----- From: Mike Hungerford <[email protected]> To: [email protected] Sent: Wed, 10 Jun 2009 12:10 am Subject: [Papermodels II 37078] Re: WIP All righty, then! Here's the current progress on a slightly tweaked and recolored version of Ron's TOS Enterprise. Other than the color, which is a muted version of what was supposedly on the original 11-foot shooting model, tweks have been minor, mainly just to make things fit a bit differently. In this build, though, I've printed a second set of parts sheets (actually I'm using an intermediate set that didn't print properly!) and am cutting up the primary hull parts from that set to use as glue tab strips to get rid of the "step" between parts. I'm also leaving off a lot of tabs on the smaller parts end just edge-gluing them. By leaving all the tabs also off the three internal support rings, I was able to get the primary hull together much more nicely than my previous attempt where I was fighting the resistance of all those tabs. :-) More to come; since I took these three shots, I've installed the 'tweenhulls pylon, and it was *much* easier this time. Of course none of that prevented me from making all-new errors, but what can you do, eh? <G> Ron has already given approval to share my recolor (actually a complete redraw in all-vector art), which I will do as soon as I'm convinced I haven't made any more mistakes with it. -- Mike Hungerford http://users.sdccu.net/chthulhu2/models.html Patience plus imagination equals future! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop: Now in 6 vibrant colors!
