Here's an idea...How about going ahead and permanently mounting it to that thin backing board terrain and model builders use for tabletop wargaming..Forget the correct term for that stuff. but most of the guys call it "hardboad". It comes in sheets probably 8' x 4' and in varying thicknesses but there's one fairly thin..
