As usual you designed a great model.
I was a huge fan of the Tom Swift Jr books and they were probably one of the big influences to go into science (I started out as a Marine PetroGeologist, so Tom's u8ndersea adventures likely assisted me in my choice of specialization) Though I worked in science only a short time I ended up in the movies and, several times, attempted to mount a Tom Swift film (seems I lacked Tom's great followthrough, through). Over the years I have met many authors, scientists and astronauts and almost all of them were Tom fans. I am amazed it took this long for a con like that to arrive. If I had not been GOH at another con I definitely would have attended. Is there a chance of another TomCon next year? Maybe the con paper model will be Tom Jr's wonderful "Sky Queen" (which, by some mysterious coincidence, was the name of my Wife and I's plane.[I never did get my SeaCopter, though])

                                                                cat
